Israel M. Kirzner received his Bachelor's degree at Brooklyn College, Brooklyn, NY, and his Master's and Doctoral degrees at New York University (where he studied under the late Ludwig von Mises). Since 1957 he has been a Faculty member at New York University, holding the title of Professor of Economics since 1968. Holder of two honorary doctoral degrees from Latinoamerican universities. He is considered the most representative member of the Austrian School of Economics.
Professor Kirzner's published works include The Economic of Point of View (1960); Competition and Entrepreneurship (1973); The Meaning of the Market Process (1992); and 'Entrepreneurial Discovery and the Competitive Market Process: An Austrian Approach', Journal of Economics Literature, March 1997. |

Jesus Huerta de Soto is Titular professor of political economy, Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, Madrid, Spain. He is considered one of the chief exponent of the Austrian School of Economics in the Spanish-speaking world, was awarded the King Juan Carlos International Prize for Economics in 1983. Since 1985, he has taught political economy at the Complutense University of Madrid. In addition to numerous articles in English and Spanish, he has published a number of books, including Planes de Pensiones Privados (1984), Lecturas de Economía Política (3 volumenes, 1986-87), Socialismo, cálculo económico y función empresarial (1992), Estudios de Economia Polítca (1994), Dinero, crédito bancario y ciclos económicos (1998) y his last book Escuela Austriaca: Mercado y Creatividad Empresarial (2001). |

Mark Skousen is editor-in-chief of Forecasts & Strategies, one of the largest investment/economic newsletters in the United States, with over 25,000 subscribers. He is also Professor of Economics and Finance at Rollins College, Winter Park, Florida 32789, and a contributor to Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, The Economist, National Review, Reason, Human Events, Liberty, and The Journal of Economic Perspectives. In 1997, Professor Skousen became a columnist for Forbes magazine, the premier business magazine in the United States. He also writes a monthly column for The Freeman entitled "Economics on Trial," published by the Foundation for Economic Education, Irvingon on Hudson, NY 10533. Since August 2001, he was awarded by the positition of President of Foundation For Economic Education.
Professor Skousen has authored eighteen books on financial and economic topics. His economics books include Economics on Trial (Irwin, 1991, 1993), The Structure of Production (New York University Press, 1990), Dissent on Keynes (Praeger, 1992), Puzzles and Paradoxes in Economics (Edward Elgar, 1997), Economic Logic (Skousen Publishing Company, 2000) and his last work The Making of Modern Economics (M.E. Sharpe, 2001).
His financial bestsellers include High Finance on a Low Budget (Dearborn, 1997, coauthored with his wife, Jo Ann), The Complete Guide to Financial Privacy, and Scrooge Investing (Little, Brown, 1996; third ed., McGraw-Hill). Skousen is a former economic analyst for the Central Intelligence Agency (1972—75), and has a Ph.D in economics from George Washington University (1977). |

Terry L. Anderson is Professor of Economics at Montana State University, Senior Adjunct FelIow at Hoover Institution, and Executive Director of PERC (Political Economy Research Center), a think-tank in Bozeman, Montana, focusing on market solutions to environmental problems. Terrys outstanding teaching has won him the Phi Kappa Phi teaching award and the College of Letters and Science outstanding teaching award. His research helped launch the idea of free rnarket environmentalism, the subject of one of his twenty books. His recent books include Breaking the Environmental Policy Gridlock (Hoover Institution Press 1997) which he edited, Enviro-Capitalists: Doing Good While Doing Well (Rowman & Littlefield Publishers, Inc. 1997) coauthored with Donald Leal, and Water Markets: Pritning The Invisible Pump (Cato Institute 1997) coauthored with Pamela Snyder. Anderson has published numerous articles in professional journals and popular publications as diverse as The WalI Street Journal and Fly Fisherman. Professor Anderson has been a visiting scholar at Oxford University (England), the University of Basel (Switzerland), Canterbury University (New Zealand), Stanford University, and Cornell University. Chung Ho received a Ph.D.in Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1988 with the dissertation: "Two Models of Urban Spatial Growth." Dr.Kim's major field of study was urban economics. He is currently the Vice President for the Korea Center for Free Enterprise, a think tank in South Korea. In recent years, he has pursued interests in economics of institutions, and law economics. Jacob G. Hornberger is founder and president of The Future of Freedom Foundation. He was born and raised in Laredo, Texas, and received his B.A. in economics from Virginia Military Institute and his law degree from the University of Texas. He was a trial attorney for twelve years in Texas. He also was an adjunct professor at the University of Dallas, where he taught law and economics. In 1987, Mr. Hornberger left the practice of law to become director of programs at The Foundation for Economic Education in Irvington-on-Hudson, New York, publisher of The Freeman.
In 1989, Mr. Hornberger founded The Future of Freedom Foundation. He is a regular writer for The Foundation's publication, Freedom Daily. Fluent in Spanish, he has delivered speeches and engaged in debates about libertarianism to groups all over the United States, as well as Canada, England, Eastern Europe, and South America. He has also advanced libertarianism on talk-radio stations all across the country. His editorials have appeared in the Washington Post, Charlotte Observer, La Prensa San Diego, El Nuevo Miami Herald,and many others, both in the United States and in Latin America. He is a co-editor or contributor to the six books that have been published by the Foundation. |

Cato's executive vice president David Boaz is a provocative commentator on a broad range of political and cultural issues; he has played a key role in the development of the Cato Institute and the libertarian movement. He is the author of Libertarianism: A Primer, published in 1997 by the Free Press and described by the Los Angeles Times as "a well-researched manifesto of libertarian ideas," and the editor of The Libertarian Reader. He is a leading authority on domestic issues like educational choice, drug legalization, the growth of government, and the rise of libertarianism and is a frequent guest on national television and radio shows. Boaz's March 1988 New York Times article on the futility of the drug war touched off a national debate over the decriminalization of drugs. Boaz, a graduate of Vanderbilt University, is the former editor of New Guard magazine and was executive director of the Council for a Competitive Economy prior to joining Cato in 1981.

Henry Lepage is Doctor of London School of Economics in England. He was General Delegate of Institute Euro 92 1989-1999 y was in charged of studies of the Institute of Enterprise 1979-1989. Parth received his B Pharm from Maharaja Sayajirao University, Vadodara, India and Ph D in economics (with a special emphasis on Austrian Political Economy) from Auburn University in the US. He taught economics at the University of Michigan at Dearborn for six years before returning to India in August 1997 to start the Centre for Civil Society. He has published academic articles in the areas of development economics, welfare economics, business cycle theory, free or laissez-faire banking, and currency board systems.
