Lima,
Perú.- In
acknowledgement to the important contribution of the Free Enterprise
Institute in solving political and financial problems in Loreto, by
spreading proposals based on a liberal system model, Iquitos Regional
Council of the Peruvian Association of Journalists honored such
organization in special ceremony where personalities from intellectual
circles and distinguished businessmen of
Iquitos
attended.
Oscar
Olavaría Saldaña, President of Loreto Regional Council of the Peruvian
Association of Journalists, stressed in his speech the spreading of viable
alternatives leading to actual, sustained support in that region by the
Free Enterprise Institute. In
this sense, he said, people living in Loreto will appreciate this
significant contribution.
“The
journalist guild of
Iquitos
is pleased to honor such an important organization engaged with the
advance and welfare of we all who live in this part of the country, thus
our institution is willing to join efforts in order to achieve that
goal,” he emphasizes.
“In
the name of the journalists from Iquitos whom I represent, I give this
simple but significant diploma to the Free Enterprise Institute
represented by its distinguished General Director, the economist Jose Luis
Tapia Rocha, as well as I admonish them to continue with this positive
task,” he expressed in the main moment of the ceremony.
Then,
Jose Luis Tapia Rocha expressed his gratitude for such deference and made
a brief account of the labor ILE carried out in Loreto.
In that regard, he said, we are very grateful for the receptivity
which compels us to improve and extend our spreading coverage.
He
added the task of ILE is to further the free enterprise system in
accordance with private ownership principles and values, free market and a
limited government focused on fundamental functions of a state permitting
to reduce taxes, to liberate economical activities from administrative
obstacles, improper collections and laws.
By
the end of the honoring ceremony where the whole board of directors from
Loreto Regional Council of the Peruvian Association of Journalists
participated, Jose Luis Tapia and Miryam Ortiz, director of ILE, gave the
book “The Exit” to the audience. Later,
it was offered a dinner on the occasion of that event.
