WHAT´S NEW


LET THE POOR HAVE WATER, NOT IDEOLOGY - NEW PAPER

This year’s World Water Week will see activists gather in Stockholm to discuss ways of getting clean water to the 1 billion people around the world who are currently without it.  But, if water activists remain blinkered by ideology and continue to oppose private water provision, this goal will not be met – as explained in a new paper from the "Sustainable Development Network", where ILE is an organization of this international network.

ASSOCIATION OF JOURNALISTS OF IQUITOS GIVES A PRIZE TO ILE

In acknowledgement to the important contribution of the Free Enterprise Institute in solving political and financial problems in Loreto, by spreading proposals based on a liberal system model, Iquitos Regional Council of the Peruvian Association of Journalists honored such organization in special ceremony where personalities from intellectual circles and distinguished businessmen of Iquitos attended.[Read more]

 


ILE WAS AWARDED WITH INTERNATIONAL PRIZE AMONG 200 INSTITUTES OF 53 COUNTRIES.-For defending and promoting freedom and private property, Instituto de Libre Empresa [ILE], obtained recently the "2007 Templeton Freedom Award Grant” which awards yearly, Atlas Economic Research Foundation, to organizations from different parts of world compromised with projects which promotes economic and political freedom especially in countries where there few independent voices. ILE DELIVERED THE MESSAGE OF FREEDOM TO MOQUEGUA, TACNA AND ILO.-Not too long ago (Nov. 29 – Dec. 1) ILE organized a series of seminars in the southern Peruvian cities of Moquegua, Tacna and Ilo.  The main goal behind this reverse ideological pilgrimage was to deliver a message of hope --of hope based on economic facts.[Read more]


ATLAS HONORS ILE WITH OTHER 26 INSTITUTES IN THE 2006 TEMPLETON FREEDOM AWARD PROGRAM.-Atlas has honored twenty-six institutes from over 150 applicants with prizes and grants in the 2006 Templeton Freedom Awards program. The Templeton Freedom Prizes for Excellence in Promoting Liberty celebrates the work of nonprofit organizations dedicated to the free society. [More info]
